This is primarily a page for putting up non-work related links which may be of interests to some of the visitors to my site, so don't expect the usual boring descriptions of hobbies, achievements or CVs.
I have a collection of various photos
of me (and, sometimes, my friends).
In April 2003 I went on a trek on Etna, Stromboli and the Aeolian
islands. They are just North of Sicily. I have written a description
of our day on Etna, and put up some photos (taken by
Bernie Cook).
A photo from Information Hiding 2002. I am pretty easy to spot, as are some of my coauthors. For all you open source fans, here is a link to a page of photos of Bill G in the Computer Lab on December 7 2001. Photos by Gareth Stoyle and myself, image editing by Mark Shinwell. You can read a trip report from a November 2001 climbing trip to Arizona. You'll find lots and lots of photos linked from there. All my Arizona trip photos are up as well (though the better ones are linked through the reports!). Note the Javelina. An older, April 2001 climbing trip report from Seneca is also online. (Up since November 2001)I have some photographs which some people may find interesting. So far these are limited to pictures of the place where I spent lots of time as a child - a place called Trudovaia, near Moscow... As I say, of rather limited interest! And the captions are in Russian.
All right - they are not all bad - everyone might find this one
modestly amusing: If you want to know what I look(ed) like, here is one of me in a boat going down a river, and that's me up a very nice piece of rock There is also a pdf map of a good cycle route between London and Cambridge. If you want to find me, see the contact page. |
